The replay shows a similar but clearly different goal. Perhaps Kant has a point–does the first goal really exist? Funny stuff.

Thank you so much for this unique clip.
I love all of our German philosophers´s quotes – especially No 8´s Schopenhauer: “Das Schicksal mischt die Karten, und wir spielen.” “Fate shuffles the cards, and we play.” Of course the German had to win the match, but I love Monty Python and will forgive them.
And pay attention: “Karl Marx is warming up” :)

    and of course Monty Python.

3 Things make this an amazing video.
    1) Karl Marx coming out for the all out attack. And the german no goal argument
    2) Socrates getting an idea and just blasting thru the amazing german defence.
    3) It’s the second half so the teams switch sides thus Greece was attacking right to left instead of left to right at the end of the game so no, ure not going crazy or another take.
But as to the offsides penalty it wouldnt be because the pass was made after they had passed thru the defence onsides.

Philosophy is the opposite of Theology (religion). Like Science it is more about asking questions rather than pretending to know the answers. It is about seeking without leading or following. In a way it keeps track of, and analyzes, the changes that society goes through. Instead of trying to order and manipulate things through judgements. It is the Power of Individual Human Thought.

Philosophy is the understanding of life and beyond.
Philosophers provide the guidance to the society for the coming years.
There is nothing like a job of Philosopher. Those who provide guidance for life are Philosophers.

“Philosophy studies the fundamental nature of existence, of man, and of man’s relationship to existence. As against the special sciences, which deal only with particular aspects, philosophy deals with those aspects of the universe which pertain to everything that exists. In the realm of cognition, the special sciences are the trees, but philosophy is the soil which make the forest possible.”

Philosophers are generalists. The further you get into the subject, the more clear it becomes that everything is connected, if a Philosophy does not answer every question that comes up, it has failed the test. Philosophers are the professionals of the question; asking and answering. Philosophers are the scientists of belief. If you want to know what to believe, and how strongly to believe it, Philosophy is the place to be.

Here is the method of Philosophy that is best applied.

When dealing with philosophical questions the first thing to look at is the language being used. Without a clear definition of the important terms, discussions or debates can go on indefinitely with neither party literally learning anything.

Secondly, philosophers should look to the best outside information available in the relevant field to the question. Philosophy is a wonderful tool and a truly honorable and great discipline, however on most topics, philosophy is not the ground floor.

Thirdly, the philosopher’s task is to take this information and evaluate it based on their other knowledge, place it in a context. Then this contextualized information can be related back to the clarified question at hand, at which point the philosopher can determine the relevance, accuracy, and definitiveness of the scientific answer to the said question.

One of the important tasks of philosophy, using this method, is the science of belief. A reasonable person should hold a corresponding level of belief to that warranted by the best available evidence. If there cannot be found relevant evidence to the said question, philosophy then has the task of creating new and apropos questions that can then be studied scientifically.

Please don’t take from this that Philosophy is not the most exciting, interesting, and fun of all the subjects, because it is. But then again, that’s coming from a Philosopher…

PS: And for goodness’ sake, do NOT think for one second that Ayn Rand knows more about Philosophy than a flatworm.
