I’ve been painting faces for a while, and I’ll share some secrets with you, that will definitely help you get up and running. Face painting is fun, and it’s also a great way to earn some extra income! So, keep reading and you will learn how to get into this lucrative and exciting hobby

Materials

The first thing you need is the right tool. You will need a paint that you can paint on the skin, of course. Do not use just anything! Most paint toxins in it that are dangerous, especially for small children! I suggest you buy the paint that is valued only for the children. There are several companies that specialize in selling it. Just Google and you’ll find them. Various kinds of color is fine. Face painting is fun, it’s not art. So, you do not have to worry about getting just the right color of orange for a particular sunset. It’s more like you need a bright red to pink to firefighters and cup cake … that sort of thing

The next thing you need is some brush. Which is really fine and one medium will do well. I rarely use more than three brushes. Make sure the bristles synthetic, not natural. Natural bristles can get a little itch in the small face

You’ll need some sponges .. Once again, oddly enough, synthetic materials work better than nature. They are more gentle. Also, you will need some water and a bowl to wash your brushes out in. And, finally, you’ll need some towels. I have several that I use just for face painting. I wash them separately so the colors do not mix with my other clothes

Design

You can find tons of online design. YouTube is one of my favorite resources. Also, there are some websites that are really good that can help you out. When I started out, my design is too complicated. Remember the five-year-old has only a very short attention span, so you need to get a quick design on the child’s face, then move on to the next child. That’s a good thing to be doing, if you do this for money. Time really is money, in this case! So, in and out as fast as you can

i asked this in another section and got no answers yet – so i’m gonna try in here. sorry for asking twice. getting desperate though!!

my son is having a spiderman themed birthday party – so i at least want to get some spiderman ones. but there will be a few girls there too, and i wanna have enough that people can pick some stuff out. any suggestions?? and if i can buy the paint and brushes online too, that’d be perfect!

go to a local craft store and get some, I bet Walmart even has them in their craft section!
