  @beungood I agree that there is something about a Harley which has long heritage and an american icon but they let competition blow by them.

  @gambietti I agree. I patrol on one and own an older Harley but I would consider the test ride and compare. The newer ones arelike riding furnaces and if you get the screaming eagle 110 you can guarantee you will be in the shop with a motor repair…

  @chlneseHD I’m on an Electraglide and Patrol on an FLHTPI but I’d consider a Victory . Yeah the Million mile HD has had the Upper End done 3 times to get there. The Chrome is as good, the build qualiy is on par and The motors are bullet proof. And they dont kick out so much heat that you need a useless heat shield to protect..

  Thats true, ppl know the name Harley, they think all cruisers are Harleys until you tell them it isnt. If you want that Old nostalgia, then Harley has it for you, However if you are smart and want a bike that is built to last, thats faster than a Harley, Stock for Stock looks better than a harley and doesn’t mark its spot every time you park it, Well then you want a Victory.

  @keehn20 I ride a kawa 2000, and every Harley Pirate always asks the same stupid question, “Hey man, why didn’t you buy a Harley?” … My response is ALWAYS the same … “I wanted to give Harley something to shoot for!” … Ride that POSH Crusty ! … LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  I don’t have an HD I like them but I don’t swear by them. The 250 rear tire on the Vic makes cornering harder than it should be. I was about ready to say “I wonder if others feel the same way” but I don’t have to cause I’ve heard other people express the same sentiment.

  @keehn20 dude, get over it…….go ride one and then say something. It is more american then a chinese harley and way more reliable. I was set on a Harley till I rode a Victory. Side by side you can recognize the craftsmanship and build quality difference. Stop fighting it, they are here to stay.

  @HarleyDavidsonDaBest Every HD I owned had a problem with Neutral. 2 Sporty’s, Springer Softail, Heritage, and Ultra. Now I’ve got a Vic, and I’m never looking back!!

  You obviously have not kept up too closely with victorys styling. Their Arlen Ness custom called the eight ball is a pretty sweet looking bike, and the price is right in line for a 100 c.i. engine v-twin.

  I have a friend that bought one and really likes it.Myself I dont like the looks of them at all. They have an imitation Harley look to them like the jap bikes. I’ve never rode one so I don’t know about that part. If it’s not a Harley I have no desire to ride one. But to each his own, some people love them and I have no problem with that.

  i’ve ridden a couple of them; the vegas and the kingpin, and they were no slouches in power. they had crisp and responsive handling with no hesitations. i pushed it quite hard on the interstate, and the engine took it with no problems.
  i’d call them a poor man’s harley on the 8-ball and vegas, but the kingpin was just about as much as a harley road king.

  seems to me since u cant do any test rides with just a permit, ur jealous. they’re a nice bike, but not exactly cheap. biggest thing i dont like about them is….they look almost exactly alike except for the kingpin.

  They have the best air-cooled engine in America (if in antique tech. 107 cid engines turn you on) , and styling that almost stands out among all the low, fat tire “customs”. You have to look for the air cleaner cover to tell it from HD, Cobra, Iron Horse and all the other ME 2 look-alikes.

  I never was really interested in Victorys. My curiosity only goes as far as wondering how well they run in cold weather, since they are built by a snowmobile company. I never tried one, but have a co-worker that really likes his. He used to ride an HD, but he likes this one better.

  I wish I had an imagination that would let me name myself after a motorcycle, and a new model at that. Life may be simpler.
