Be polite and if you see them busy with another customer in the store, let them help customers before approaching them. Do not expect them to drop everything to help you because they have an entire store to attend to. This makes the best to visit during a week when customer traffic is low so they have to be given extra attention to your project.

It’s also probably wise to think about your question or questions at home before entering the store. This will allow you to make them sound smart and polite. It will also save you time and personnel when talking about the information you are looking for. No officer who likes DIY auto painter rambling who can not even get a straight question

Auto body shop will have everything you need to complete your project .. This makes it a wise idea to visit them and become familiar with those who work there. In addition, you can find information sheets and guides for each application of paint that they carry in stock. These sheets come directly from the manufacturer. With polite and well thought out questions, you should be able to find everything you need. Take advantage of this resource that many of us will find in our environment.

I know there are so much of anime or local corp related cars(except KFC heh) in this movie, but there are cool racer replicas as well. More to come? I dunno. I want to see how a certain set or rims, body kits, lights, paint etc. looks on my car before I buy it. For a long time the staple tool was Photoshop, but I refuse to spend the price they want. I am looking for a FREE downloadable program that is comparable. I’ve heard about Gimp, Splashup, etc but I can’t seem to decide if they are what I want. Any help is much appreciated.

    GIMP is the best image editor you can get for free. Nothing else comes as close to Photoshop. GIMP has more or less the same set of tools, often with different names, and works using layers and layer masks in a similar manner to Adobe Photoshop. Plus it has a huge range of free plug-ins and scripts to increase it’s functionality – you can get most of these here: http://registry.gimp.org/

    GIMP has a steep learning curve as it’s a complex piece of software like Adobe Photoshop.

    Using it for recolouring an image is entirely possible, and for copying and pasting parts of one image onto another, but will require a degree of skill if you want it to look realistic. There are no magic buttons to do the work for you.

    What is there to decide on? GIMP is free – if you don’t like it, ditch it. You have nothing to lose.
